Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 28 October 2026
These terms apply to every retreat and ceremony you book with Ayahuasca Cusco: ayahuasca retreats, San Pedro (Wachuma) ceremonies and Andean ceremonies, whether you book through this website, WhatsApp or email. Please read them before paying your deposit. If anything is unclear, write to us at info@ayahuascacusco.com.
Who we are
Ayahuasca Cusco is a community of Amazonian and Andean shamans running a retreat center in the Huayllapampa valley, district of San Jerónimo, near Cusco, Peru, since 2013. Our office is at 426-A Retiro Street, 5th Floor, Cusco, Peru. You can reach us at info@ayahuascacusco.com or WhatsApp +51 960 280 759.
Who can take part
To take part in any of our ceremonies you must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Fill in our Preliminary Diagnostic Form truthfully and completely, including every medication and supplement you take.
- Sign our informed consent.
- If your answers show a possible health issue, have an exam with a specialist before the ceremony. The cost of that exam is paid by the participant.
We may decline or postpone a booking if, after the screening, we believe a ceremony would not be safe for you. In that case the refund is arranged with our booking assistant, as explained in our cancellation and refund policy.
Booking and payment
- Deposit. Your place is reserved with a deposit of 10% of the total price. The booking is confirmed once we confirm it to you in writing.
- Balance. The remaining 90% is paid before the start of your ceremony or retreat, as agreed with our booking assistant.
- Payment methods. Bank transfer, PayPal, card or cash.
- Prices. Prices are in US dollars, per person, and include IGV (Peruvian sales tax).
- Fees. Bank, card and PayPal fees are paid by the client.
Pickup and transport
On the day of your ceremony we pick you up at your hotel in Cusco or at our office, at the time we confirm when you book. The drive to the retreat center takes 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic.
Transport is included in our ayahuasca retreats and San Pedro ceremonies. For individual Andean ceremonies (Pachamama offering, coca leaf reading, energy cleansing and flowering bath), round-trip transport costs USD 25 per group. Ceremonies in the Sacred Valley (Urubamba) carry a transport supplement that we confirm before you book.
Cancellations and date changes
Cancellations, refunds and date changes follow our cancellation and refund policy. Every cancellation must be confirmed by us in writing to be valid.
Conduct during the retreat
Ceremonies are sacred and shared. During your retreat you agree to:
- Follow the preparation guidelines and the diet we send you.
- Follow the instructions of the masters, facilitators and translator at all times.
- Not consume alcohol or recreational drugs before or during the retreat.
- Respect the other participants, the team and the center.
If a participant has consumed alcohol or drugs, or does not follow the instructions of the team, we may remove them from the ceremony or the retreat, without a refund.
Health, risks and insurance
Ayahuasca and San Pedro are powerful medicines and are not suitable for everyone. Please read our health and liability disclaimer before booking. We recommend that you travel with insurance that covers medical care in Peru. In a medical emergency, we take the participant to the nearest clinic.
Our masters
Our ceremonies are led by a team of ayahuasca and Andean masters. If the master you expected cannot attend, another master from our community leads the ceremony. This is not a reason for cancellation.
Photos and video
We sometimes take photos or video at our ceremonies and at the center. We only take and use images of participants with their permission, and you can withdraw that permission at any time by writing to info@ayahuascacusco.com. See our privacy policy.
Personal belongings and liability
You are responsible for your personal belongings during the retreat and the transport. We are responsible for providing the services you booked with care and in the way described on our website. We are not responsible for losses caused by information you did not share in the health screening, by not following the instructions of the team, or by events beyond our control.
Applicable law and complaints
These terms are governed by the laws of Peru. If you have a complaint, write to us first at info@ayahuascacusco.com; we will answer and try to resolve it with you. We may update these terms; the version published on this page on the date of your booking is the one that applies to it.
